Our History

THE BEGINNING

​

The Arcanjo Solidário Institute was born out of the genuine dedication of our president and founder, Mr. Miguel Leandro. Inspired by the example of his father, Mr. Miguel Arcanjo, Miguel Leandro has been transforming lives for 17 years, mobilizing his own resources and relying on friends who share the same commitment to making a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

The seed of the institution emerged from the distribution of food baskets, carried out through personal effort and self-funding, to meet the immediate needs of people in vulnerable situations.

​

In addition to these initiatives, our president has always sought ways to bring people together around solidarity causes, organizing collections among colleagues to support friends, public cleaning service workers, and other families often facing difficult times.

​

He also participated in campaigns for people with physical disabilities and in emergency relief actions, such as collecting blankets for victims of natural disasters in Rio Grande do Sul in 2024.

​

Although carried out with great dedication, these actions were limited by personal capacity and available resources. With the desire to expand the impact and reach more people, the need arose to formalize and structure this solidarity work.

THE ARCANJO SOLIDÁRIO INSTITUTE

Thus, the Arcanjo Solidário Institute was born, with a clear purpose: to fight hunger and promote dignity for those who need it most, starting with those closest to us. Our goal is to touch more lives and meet needs in an emergency and effective way.

​

Today, we are a private non-profit association made up of people committed to solidarity and concrete action. Our work goes beyond distributing food baskets: it is about bringing hope and dignity to families in vulnerable situations, often living in the same community as us. Transparency is a core value in everything we do.

​

All our actions — from receiving donations to delivering food — are documented and shared, allowing you to follow the real impact of your contribution.

​

Hunger is not a distant issue; it is near us, affecting neighbors, friends, and colleagues. That is why we unite efforts to raise awareness and mobilize resources that truly make a difference.

Our commitment is to continue the path initiated by our president, expanding the network of support and solidarity, always with the mission of helping those who need it most.

We are very proud of the history of the Arcanjo Solidário Institute, which began in a simple but 100% genuine way. Our first steps were taken with small actions, driven by a sincere commitment to helping others, with dedication and much effort.

​

We wish no action were necessary and that everyone could live their lives fully and without hardship. However, reality compels us not to remain idle.

​

The vulnerability and hunger affecting so many people around us show us that we must act. It is urgent to extend a helping hand to those in need now — as our logo represents.

​

Every day, we learn, grow, and strengthen our mission, confident that we are making a difference. We know there is still much to be done, and our vision of expanding the institution’s initiatives is stronger than ever.

OUR FUTURE

​

We want to go as far as possible, touching the lives of more people and communities in need. We were officially registered in September 2025, taking a huge step toward expanding our initiatives. Now, in addition to emergency support, we focus on helping families move out of vulnerability by offering opportunities through sports — such as soccer and volleyball —, tutoring, and English training, providing a new perspective for the future.

We are structuring ourselves to gain the necessary support to turn this dream into reality. Our work is only possible through the collaboration of each person who believes and wishes to contribute. The story of the Arcanjo Solidário Institute is built on commitment, love for others, and the courage to act. With everyone’s contribution, we continue to expand our impact, bringing dignity, hope, and transformation to more and more lives.
